FAQ

We’ve been getting quite a few questions so we’ve decided that we ought to have some place where we can put the usual questions asked and the answers for each of them.

  1. Are your photos touched up or edited?
No photo leaves our studio without being processed for exposure and the three ‘C’s. Color, contrast and clarity. Photos for our Photobooks however, are more extensively retouched. Those photos are NOT included in the CD or DVD.
  2.

  3. What is the difference between the standard resolution and high resolution CD/DVD?
Standard resolution images are approximately 4-5 Megapixels. This allows printing up to about 10R size. Our high resolution DVD images are at least 13 Megapixels in size, allowing printing up to over 16R. Our High-resolution DVD is not available for purchase without a Photobook.
  4.

  5. Are all the photos taken during our shoot included in the CD or DVD?
Yes. All photos minus the outtakes. Outtakes are sometimes pre-shoot test shots for framing, exposure, etc. Also as we will normally shoot multiple frames and angles, there will be shots where you have eyes closed, attire not in place properly, etc.
  6.

  7. Do you provide props, library backdrops, toys, etc in your studio?
Our studio only has white and black backdrops – we don’t believe in those fake backdrops. Unfortunately, props tend to disappear after a while and we would need a large number of props, hence we do not supply props. You are welcome to bring any prop you wish. This applies also to children’s and baby toys.
  8.

  9. What happens if it rains on our shoot date/time?
We will reschedule for you to a suitable time and date.
  10.

  11. Where does everyone go for their engagement session (pre-wedding), portraiture, family, self, etc photography?
If we listed the places here, it’ll be like a travel guide. Home is always a popular choice however.
First thing is to ask yourself what are your interests or likes. Secondly, try to think up a theme. This will help to assist your search in venues and locations for our photography. Note that private property may require a shoot permit that may cost a considerable fee.

An example would be if you love nature, you may consider a jungle trek or back to nature type theme. This then helps you narrow down locations to places such as FRIM, Parks, etc.

  12.

  13. Where are your Photobooks made and what are they made of?
Our Photobooks and made and printed 100% in Japan. They are printed using the latest 6-color press technology and use only high-quality premium 100lb paper stock.
