Begin with an East meets West kind of wedding that started at Church in an easy, breezy style. Turn the event 180 degrees around and end with a 300 guest sit-down nine course Chinese dinner. Well, a Chinese wedding will not be complete if you don’t at least fete your guests with a proper sit-down dinner. No standing around reception or buffet style luncheons. Chinese dinners need a many-course meal starting with some four-season dish and shark’s fin soup. What do you do if you want to be environmentally conscious and nature-loving? Drop the shark’s fin soup for some delicious seafood soup. Enough said. This was one easy dinner with lots of fun, emotional speeches and lovely people. Best part was when the toasting session went from “Cheers!” to “YAMMM-SENNGG” (in English: Bottom’s Up!) in like five seconds! Yup, the sound of the East rising…

Here’s a couple of sneak peak photos from Miriam and Chris’ wedding. More to come after this weekend big event/launch shoot. By the way, our Book Bound ZD (lay-flat binding) is now available. If you’re finalizing your PhotoBook in the next two months, let us know if you’ll like to get a free upgrade to the lay-flat binding!

In November, Terence, Chi Choong along with their Mom threw a surprise birthday bash for their father on the occasion of his 60th birthday. It was simply amazing to see their plans work out, guests, restaurant, and the big surprise most of all! After shooting that event I realized how few families ever take any major photos of big events (and small). Not only is there a record for the future but also, there’s also that memory that will remain when things fade. Good job guys! I’m impressed!

Despite the heavy rain the that drenched Petaling Jaya, it was a genuinely warm and joyful inside SS2 Tai Thong Restaurant. It was also very dry! Choon Mei and Heng Loon don’t even look troubled as guests trickled in slowly and running late. They took the time to warmly greet and catch up with many friends and family that arrived. Today was just a simple dinner to celebrate their marriage and the big day is to happen a week later in Penang where Heng Loon is from. From the enthusiasm of the couple and the guests, it looks like one super big party! Yes, everyone had a great time and so did we!

Good weather held for a fun-filled pool-side buffet to celebrate Wilayne & David coming together as a couple… but maybe, just a little too much good weather as in a scorching afternoon sun resulted in a little too much warmth. Nevertheless, it was a fun-filled event and there were lots of times where it became more than low-light, it was closer to no light.
