When Dila called me to book an engagement session, she had her heart set on KL PAC and Sentul Park. Unfortunately, the shooting permits were beyond her budget. Even though I did offer to pay some of the fees, she decided to have her shoot in Lake Gardens.
The evening before, a massive thunderstorm hit and I was praying that no large trees would be uprooted. Prayers were definitely answered — it was a lovely and nice day and despite the potential for bad traffic due to road closures, there were none!
We had good fun and we managed to finish on time before the massive evening crowd arrived and packed up the place. To the family and photographer who was shooting nearby, I thank you for being gracious in lending us the bubble blower. We didn’t use it much but I love the shots I got from them. If you’re the photographer, drop me an email and I’ll buy you coffee!

After a lovely two week trip, its always good to be home.
Lots of things to do but more importantly, time to finish up a few Albums and images. Also have a video to work on for this weekend.
After a night spent in beautiful Hangzhou and the famous “West Lake”, we’d like to find out if anyone would be interested in a destination wedding photography plus holiday package? I’ve some idea on the flow and schedule but since AirAsia flies there, the flights would be relatively cheap. An express train has a regular schedule to Shanghai is also available, making it extremely convenient. My basic package looks like below:
Day 1 : Arrive and check into 4-star Lakeside hotel (if you want to go upmarket, it’ll be the lovely Shangri-La)
Welcome dinner at the with famed Hangzhou dished – Tong Por Yoke and Beggar’s Chicken.
Day 2 : West Lake Cruise and shoot (2.5 hours)
Afternoon at your leisure
Evening shoot at Leifeng Pagoda, surrounds (2.5 hours)
Night show “Impressions of the West Lake by director Zhang Yimou”
(Breakfast at hotel, Lunch and Dinner provided by tour)
Day 3 : Free and easy. (Reshoot if weather is bad during Day 2)
Day tour of Hangzhou (tours to tea factories, silk factories, surrounds)
Day 4 : Afternoon flight back to Malaysia
I’m targeting a package price around RM3,999 per couple for the shoot for all inclusive fares, shoot, 20-page 10″ x 10″ Premium Book Bound Photobook, tours and accommodation (4-star, not the Shang obviously). Anyone interested?

We’re confirmed on our flights to Shanghai, China in April 2010. This means that if you are looking for some really interesting Engagement or Portrait photography, this is your chance! You won’t need to pay for our travel or accommodation, just the package you want. If you’re planning to book us during this trip, drop me a message or phone call — we’ll have some attractive packages for you.
China is too far away? How about Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia? That’s right, we’ll also be heading to Kuching in July so let us know if you’d like an engagement shoot in Cat – city or the surrounding rain forest. That’ll guarantee to make a memorable shoot!
